20 years of IMAGO – new collections
At OPTI 2010 the new collections with interchangeable temples SWOOP and memory-snap (rimless) were presented.On both systems the temples can be changed fast and easily with just one click. The many styles, colors and especially varieties of temples allow endless numbers of combinations. We will be introducing new temple styles on our website regularly.

OGAMI meets Swarovski – the perfect match
Within the OGAMI range Imago has launched a selection of exclusive woman’s frames, decorated with precious Swarovski stones. The hip and modern design of these models make them a perfect match to sparkly acessories and trendy jewelry.
OGAMI SAYURI – Limited Edition
From July 2009 onwards we offer SAYURI the new model from our OGAMI range in a worlwide limited edition of only 1000 units. This exquisit piece is handcrafted with exclusive Swarovski stones and will be delivered with a special case and an owner’s certificate. The personal number is engraved behind the bridge.
SAYURI is a popular Japanese woman’s name meaning “Little Lily” and we have created a frame that aspires to the Japanese ideal of precision, quality and simple beauty.
IMAGO XS- und XXS-Workshop
This spring our first IMAGO XS-Workshop took place at our new Showroom Teenagers and Kids, aged 8-15 years shared their opinions on our new prototypes with us. They had very clear ideas on which shapes and colours where “cool and trendy” and which ones a “no go”. The results of this open discussion directly influenced the new release of IMAGO XS and IMAGO XXS coming out now in July.

January 2009 - Volker Grahm, product manager with Rodenstock until the end of 2008, has filled the same position with IMAGO since 01.01.2009 Mr. Grahm has experience in all important areas of the optical business. He is a licensed optician, a graduate engineer of ophthalmic optics, and has completed internships in Malawi and India before working as product manager with Carl Zeiss, with Menrad and for many years with Rodenstock. At IMAGO, Volker Grahm will be responsible for design and development of the collections IMAGO, OGAMI, PROJECT ONE, PIX, i-spax, spaxies and i-plain.
end of 2008 - We hired three new employees for our office - our answer to pessimists and forcasters of bleak times of recession.
August 2008 - Albert Scharf re-joins IMAGO and resumes his representation of the company in Northern Germany.

The new showroom and adjoining designer office, which was built under the auspices of Lia Laepple, is finished. We invite all of our customers on their way south into their summer or skiing vacation for a stopover.
Our new exhibition booth, designed by „style-interiordesign“, was first introduced at OPTI Munich last year and will quite literally unite all our collections under one roof.
In addition, our new designer Richard Rembs provides our frames with a fresh new look and an optimized style.
